You gain the ability to comprehend and verbally communicate with Avion and Beasts for the Duration. The knowledge and awareness of many of these creatures is limited by their intelligence, but at minimum, they can give you information about nearby locations and monsters, including whatever they can perceive or have perceived within the past day. You might be able to persuade the creature to perform a small favour for you, at the DM's discretion.

(If you have the Ritual Casting feature, then this spell can be cast as a ritual – if you increase the casting time to 10 minutes, then this spell doesn't use spell slots.)
